Individual Project #1: Gifts (Reading)
(by: Dimas Purnama Adi Wicaksono, an UKSW Student)
Salutations, my beloved blog readers! In this perfect and unqualified opportunity, I would like to share and tell you a short story about "The Fox and The Grapes". And as you may have thought, I picked the story from ER-Central because it is a great website to find stories to read. Anyway, let's get back on track. This story is about a starving Fox that saw a bunch of ripe black grapes hanging on its vines. She has tried everything she could do to be able to acquire the grapes but wearied herself in vain, for she couldn't reach any of them. And well, she finally realized that every deed that she has done was futile, she turned away in defeat, hiding her disappointment.
What a pity, right? It's such a shame that The Fox couldn't obtain any of the grapes despite she has done everything she could. And yes, this is the main reason why I chose The Fox over the grape tree. And behold, this is the special gift that I have prepared for her:
I would give the same gift as what you gave to the fox. Yes, the fox certainly needs that.
