Additional Individual Report: Happy Prince
(by: Dimas Purnama Adi Wicaksono, an UKSW student)
What's poppin', everyone? On this unmatched day, I will present and tell you about an awesome story called "Happy Prince". It's written by the legendary Oscar Wilde himself, and it has 250 words, and it's a starter-level story, so it's an easy story to read and understand.
So, my beloved blog readers, I would like to share this amazing story briefly. This story is about a swallow bird who's about to go to Egypt right before the summer almost came to an end, And then, the bird noticed that the golden statue of the Happy Prince was crying, and the swallow decided to help the prince to assist the poor civilians in the town. After all the deeds that the swallow did, he finally passed away due to him overworking himself in winter, and fell down died at the statue's feet. Due to the extreme weather and cold, the Happy Prince statue's lead heart cracked and broke into two pieces. Little did they know, God has prepared them a special place in heaven.
Oh, my precious blog readers. What a heartwarming story isn't it? I shed my tears when I read this story. So, I decided to select and match this unparalleled story with one of my favorite songs. It's called "It's Amazing" by Jem because she made gems on her songs (I'm sorry for the bad pun I just created). So, I decided that this song would be a perfect combo with the story because all of the deeds that the Happy Prince and Swallow have done are simply amazing. One of the lyrics that finally convinced me to choose this song was this one; "It's amazing, it's amazing all that you can do". I was like, "Sweet Jesus, this song is perfect!".
My beloved readers, this is the end of this blog. I hope you had a great time when you read it, and have a nice day!
